Hino Motors Vietnam is one of the pioneers of Euro 4 emission standards for new trucks, contribute to reducing the impact of vehicles on the environment, paving the way for a “green” future for society.

Euro emission standards include the concentration of airborne contaminant generated by vehicles such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) Approved by EU Member States. These emission standards also apply to different types of vehicles (trucks, buses, passenger cars & etc.)

The purpose of the standards is to eliminate vehicles that generate too much pollution (due to malfunction or expiration of use, etc.), while contributing to environmental protection.

In Vietnam, all of commercial vehicles assembled, manufactured and imported after January 1, 2018 are required to equip EURO 4 according to the roadmap in Decision 49 / 2011 / QD-TTG of the Prime Minister.

The Hino new models of 300 series and 500 series are equipped with the Euro 4 compliant technologies. In addition, the product line also strictly follows the QDR (Quality – Durability – Reliability) standards applied by Hino itself to each product.

Compared to other models currently in the market, Hino’s newest product line with Euro 4-compliant engines which adopt Hino’s advanced technologies, namely Common rail (Electronic Fuel Injection), EGR (Exhaust Gas Circulation) and DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst), help improving fuel economy, reduce the NOx and convert harmful gases to harmless products.

Such improvement also demonstrates the brand’s efforts to protect the environment, contributing to the creation of a “green” future for Vietnam. This is also one of the goals of Hino Global Environmental Challenge 2050, it aims to build a product line that is environmentally friendly, minimizes the concentration of CO2 as well as other pollutants released into the environment.
