With a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to accompany the development of the education sector, after sponsoring the Hino FM8JN7A truck to the Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology (CTECH) at the beginning of March, Hino Motors Vietnam (HMV) continues to sponsor the HINO XZU730 truck for training and practice at College of Engineering – Can Tho University.

Hino Euro4 Truck Continues Its Mission to Support Learning and Training

With the launch of the Hino vehicles meeting Euro 5 emissions standards in October 2024, Hino Motors Vietnam has decided to sponsor the Hino XZU730-Euro 4 truck, previously used for dealer service training, to College of Engineering – Can Tho University (CTU) so that it can continue its mission of supporting students in learning and practice, enhancing practical skills.

At the event, Mr. Yoshio Osaka, General Director of Hino Motors Vietnam, stated: ‘Thanks to the warm reception from Vietnamese society, particularly the support from all customers using Hino vehicles, we have become known as one of the most valuable brands in the commercial vehicle industry in Vietnam. In the future, we will gradually give back to Vietnamese society and all those who have contributed to the development of the Hino brand, and we will further contribute to the development of Vietnam. Today’s sponsor of a truck to the university is also part of our social responsibility activities and an initiative to give back to the country of Vietnam.’

A Meaningful Sponsorship Ceremony

The sponsorship ceremony for the HINO XZU730 truck was held on March 31, 2025, coinciding with the 59th anniversary of Can Tho University, marking an important milestone in the sustainable partnership between the business and the school. This collaboration not only supports students in their studies but also paves the way for opportunities for internships and practical work at Hino’s official dealers.

This is a clear testament to the commitment of businesses in training high-quality human resources for the automotive industry.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hieu Trung, Vice-Rector of Can Tho University, shared: “The HINO XZU730 truck is not only a practical vehicle but also a bridge that helps students connect with the latest technology in the automotive industry. Through this, they can enhance their professional skills and gain a better understanding of the development trends in the automotive industry, especially regarding emission reduction technologies, performance optimization, and environmental friendliness. […] We are committed to utilizing the sponsored truck in the most effective way for teaching and research purposes.”

After the handover ceremony, students had the opportunity to interact with experts from HMV to directly learn about the structure, technology, and advanced standards of Hino trucks.
