With more than 77 years of development and production of durable and efficient Hino trucks, Hino always hopes that Hino products will always be a reliable business partner of customers on all roads. To provide customers with a more realistic view of the product system; the total support system and advanced technology have been and will be applied to Hino products, Hino Motors Vietnam Co., Ltd. in association with Hino Motors Japan and authorized dealers organized a trip to Japan to visit Hino factory and attend the conference on fuel saving driving for 17 customers and partners in all regions of Vietnam from October 1 to October 5, 2019.

“Fuel-efficient driving”, also known as “Eco Driving” is a regular program organized by Hino Motors Vietnam nationwide. Especially, the program this time was held in Japan – the mother country of Hino Truck Brand.

At the seminar, customers can visit and experience the latest Hino products; at the same time, test drive at Hamura Customer Technical Center. First, customers will test drive the truck as daily routine with a track with a length of 1.5km / round. After that, Hino experts will share their tips on saving fuel economy to avoid wasting loads. After understanding the theory, customers will try to drive with new techniques to feel the reality of the difference between conventional driving methods and fuel-efficient driving techniques with the same criteria such as vehicle type, speed, loads, running tracks, etc. Commenting on the course, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cu – Director of Phu Cuong A Transport Company Limited said: “The course is very interesting & rewarding. I understand how to operate the truck more efficiently and economically. After this trip, I will share it with the company’s drivers and apply it to my fleet.”

The application of fuel-efficient driving techniques is not only economically efficient, but also contributes to reducing the amount of CO2 emissions released into the environment, thereby contributing to protecting the atmosphere and living environment of the community.

Visiting Hino Koga factory – Hino Mother plant.

With a total area of 850,000 m2, the Koga factory is the fourth factory of Hino Motors, built on the intersection of Koga city and Yachiyo town, Ibaraki province, to produce medium and heavy-duty trucks. During the Koga factory visit, customers were able to witness the professional automation assembly lines and the strict quality control system that meets Hino’s QDR standards. Not only that, customers are also very impressed with the production capacity of 45,000 vehicles/ year and the continuous production speed of 4.5 minutes for each vehicle.

Sharing after the trip, Mr. Nguyen Cong Cat, Chairman of Nhat Tin Development Trading Investment Joint Stock Company said: “I was impressed with the production line of Koga plant. Through the experiences of this trip, I am more believe in Hino’s products and also wish in the future to invest in my fleet of more Hino trucks to not only be assured of good product quality but also the helpful after sales service. I hope Hino will organize more program like this to give us the opportunity to better understand the product system; Hino’s total support system as well as Hino’s advanced technology.”

In addition to the business trip, customers and partners also visited famous sightseeing places such as Tokyo Skytree, Nikko Toshogu temple; explored the unique traditional Japanese culture such as Ninja, Maiko and enjoyed the special dishes like Sashimi, Unagi, etc.

The 5-day-4-night trip to visit the Hino factory and attend the fuel-efficient driving workshop in Japan took place successfully.
