In order to enhance awareness of safe drive and fuel efficient, Hino Motors Viet Nam (HMV) held a training course related to this matter for managers, staffs and drivers of Nippon Konpo Viet Nam (NKV) located at Noi Bai Industrial Zone, Soc Son District, Ha Noi on 8th June 2013.
With the character of a professional transportation enterprise and specialize in high valued goods transportation, safe drive and fuel efficient always get appropriate attention from top management to managers, staffs and drivers of NKV. Safe drive and fuel efficient impacts to the drivers and their family first, and then to company’s prestige. In the condition of hard competition today, it plays an important role in making business stability and development.

The training of contents of safe drive and fuel efficient and actual situation were presented and discussed by all participants with straightforwardly and sincerely. HMV think that these below actions should be taken by drivers for safe drive:
1- Learn from other people’s experience
2- Should change the drive condition in deserted road
3- Let other see us easily
4- Don’t judge subjectively
5- Just drive in good health condition
6- Put your foot on pedal always
7- Concentrate on driving

There are 4 factors that impacts to fuel efficient as:
1- Vehicle specification
2- Driving skill
3-  Vehicle maintenance
4- Management
in which driving skill was discussed effervescently the most because it related to driver’s daily works directly. HMV think that, event each item we just save the small percentage of fuel consumption, however, make the summary from a lot of items we would have big fuel saving in year. With the team of over 20 units trucks of Hino, we can save several hundred million VND per year.

In the training, HMV also explained the points during the truck operation as: meaning of warning lamps, clutch pedal checking and adjustment, coolant level, tire pressure checking, brake oil and engine oil checking, battery checking, warning in equip other equipment, warning in electric arc welding… The comments looks seem simple but rarely get attention from driver indeed and can lead to unworthy damage, unsafe in operation as well.

Under the summer strong sunlight, the practice still got high attention from all participants. The skill as: clutch pedal free travel adjustment, tire pressure checking, brake oil and engine oil checking, air filer, air dryer checking, head lamps…was taken by HMV’s expert as example first and then actual carried out by NKV’s staffs and drivers. The training finished with a lot of useful actual knowledge was transferred to NKV.
In the future, HMV and HMV official dealers will have same training in other province of all the country to enhance awareness of drivers of safe drive and fuel efficient. It means, we give one hand together with society protect environment, contribute for a better life.
