On December 15, Petrolimex started selling Euro V diesel at some petrol stations in the system at a retail price of VND15,210/litre in region I and VND15,510/litre in region II (mountainous and remote areas).
The retail price of Euro V diesel announced by Petrolimex is introduced in the whole Petrolimex’s distribution system across Vietnam including Petrolimex’s petrol stations; petrol stations run by entrepreneurs; general agents selling Petrolimex’s petroleum; and Petrolimex’s franchised petrol stations.
Petrolimex Deputy Director General Tran Ngoc Nam said Petrolimex expects to sell Euro V diesel at 1,750/2,500 petrol stations in the whole Petrolimex’s distribution system as January 1, 2018.
Petrolimex is preparing all conditions necessary for the sale of diesel across the country before January 1, 2018.
This follows the implementation of the Decision 49/2011/QD-TTg dated September 1, 2011 providing the roadmap for application of exhaust emission standards, in which tourist cars and diesel-powered buses shall comply with emission standards at level IV as of January 1, 2018; and diesel-powered trucks shall comply with emission standards at level IV from 2022.
