Can grease be used as a substitute for lubricant oil?
Friday, 27 December 2024
Lubricating grease cannot be replaced by lubricating oil, as they have different properties and chemical compositions, along with the following differences:
- When lubricating, oil flows around the mechanical components (due to its circulating lubrication properties).
- In contrast, grease remains in place and forms a "protective layer."
- Therefore, grease is used in locations where oil cannot be utilized, as oil will flow away.

Should you accelerate to increase engine speed immediately after starting?
Friday, 27 December 2024
Accelerating the engine immediately after starting increases the risk of premature wear on components. When the engine first starts, the lubricant has not yet filled the oil passages and clearances, which means there’s a risk that the components may not be adequately lubricated when operating at high speeds.

What are the emission standards for vehicles?
Friday, 27 December 2024
The EURO emission standards are regulations that set limits on various exhaust emissions from vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, and trucks. These standards are designed to reduce harmful emissions into the environment, improve air quality, and protect human health.
The types of emissions typically regulated by these standards include:
- CO (Carbon Monoxide): A colorless, odorless toxic gas that can cause suffocation.
- HC (Hydrocarbons): Unburned organic compounds that can contribute to air pollution and smog formation.
- NOx (Nitrogen Oxides): A group of highly toxic nitrogen oxides that can pollute the air and affect human health.
- PM (Particulate Matter): Small particulate matter that can cause air pollution and impact human health.
